Third building is installed.

The new pack of screenshots made by me today. However the building was ready atleast 1 month ago. The reason why I wasn't updating the blog is really prosaic - crash of my Ubuntu (mea culpa). I had lack of space on my HDD and also in this moment Ubuntu asked for updating. It would be the worst choice to say yes... After this refreshing my OS say goodbye to me and the adventure of reinstalling LINUX + installing nvidia drivers on linux + bbswitch + optirun and after all of that installing of python and Blender 2.49. Finally I've done all of that and now I'm able to publish the new set of screens.

Second building is prepared for the track.

The second building has been just finished and installed to Distrakt track. The result is quite nice as it could be seen on the screenshots. The building has real prototype situated in Sankt-Petersburg, Baltiyskaya street. Now I gonna look through my photos to find some compatible to create next building for the track. Result will be published here later... See 2 other screenshots below.

First building for the track is finished

The first building was finished and installed on the track today. Here I post several screenshots made from the game runtime on Ubuntu 13.10 to show ow it looks. The building is some old store that hadn't been changed a lot from the time of Soviet Union. I think all the track's buildings will be in style like that. Some old residential houses, some shops and some industrial buildings and plants.

New Location for the game.
- The road texture (with yellow lines) that looked nicely within Unity3d now looks like crap. You could see it on the screenshot. The native asphalt texture looks much prettier specially with red/white borders. Time to think about how to go back to old texture.
- The flying cars... Xzena physix used some tricks to make car run very fast. These tricks are just forces applied to the car when the player gonna accelerate it or turn left or rigts. Xzena racing track was flat and I hadn't such problems as I have now with the bridge.
Time to quit using tricky forces and get back to realistic (more or less) mechanism of car movement.
